Columbus Ohio, 25 Nov 2011: Prominent Columbus Ohio Personal Injury Lawyer Mr. John Alton recently settled a premises liability claim for $300,000 in favor of the Plaintiff in Columbus Ohio. The Plaintiff had preexisting problems in both eyes that required surgery prior to the incident. He was recovering from that surgery when he fell down an un-gated, poorly lit exterior stairway at the rear of Defendant’s premises.
As a result of the fall, the Plaintiff suffered personal injury damages where his left eye was punctured and orbit fractured. The Defendant retained Dr. Alfred Staubus whose opinion was that Plaintiff’s alcohol impairment contributed to his failure to see the exterior stairway.
