8.5% Increase in Ski Bookings

UK (SANEPR.com) October 1, 2008 -- Despite a dip in the British economy, Alpine Elements is happy to announce that there has been an increase in the ski holiday bookings for the Winter 2008/09. The bookings have increased by 8.5% as compared to last year.

The impressive snowfall in January 2008 has resulted in the rise of bookings for early December and January 2009 so far as 22%. Along with the snowfall is the top-class value prices offered by Alpine Elements that have turned successful in pulling the crowd to the December peak.

Reports suggest that parents are declining to pay for the New Year Week from January 28-January 4 which is alarmingly expensive. Parents are keen and eager to take their children out of school during January 4th to 11th. This is considerably helping to make savings of more than £2,000 per family.

The half term is filling up very quickly, mainly because this year the schools from all regions (North and South) are taking the same week, which commences Feb 14/15th. Unfortunately this escalates demand and subsequently prices are being hit by the reduced flight capacity; a problem further compounded by increases in airfuel and the fact that airlines such as BA and XL airways have grounded so many of their flights this winter.

Compared to the fast fillings in January, the bookings in March are lagging behind. However, we are hoping to experience last minute bookings, since the stimulated worries of economy and snow has long been a point of concern.

However, we anticipate experiencing a busy ski season when we find some truly performing skiers. Winters being a perfect break from the usual chores, skiers would love to make the best of the “break”.
