Ananya SEO Services partners with NGO, SARDS, for raising funds for floods relief work

The recent floods in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka is the worst in living memory and is described as a national calamity in India. The rain and flood havoc that began 30 Sep 2009 have killed more than 230 people in southern India have left 2 million others homeless. The loss to crops, homes and infrastructure has been estimated at 260 billion rupees.


Social Activities for Rural Development Society (SARDS, www.sards.org ) is an NGO which works in partnership with the poor in Nellore and Prakasam districts of Andhra Pradesh. SARDS has initiated relief work for the flood affected communities in Kurnool and Guntur Districts of Andhra Pradesh. SARDS has appealed to all generous hearts to extend their support and donations to arrange necessary assistance to the flood victims with a special focus on children, women and other vulnerable/down trodden people to ensure speedy recovery and rehabilitation.

Ananya SEO Services has launched online advertisement campaign (Pay Per Click Ads) on Google Adwords and SEO to help SARDS in collecting funds for floods relief work. Researching keywords for current news items poses challenges since keywords tools like that of Google’s provide historical estimates of search traffic, with data up to the previous month, while what we need is search traffic of past few days, for key phrases specific to the event. Remaining keyword tools are geared towards US and UK. The other challenge is that NGOs lack funds for marketing.

The objective was to release the online ads at the earliest. SARDS’ website was under development and would take at least two weeks to go online. Ananya setup a simple website within three days. The next delay was with the process of activating Adwords account : it takes up to a day for an online payment to be reflected in your Adwords account. The last time lag was that Adwords Ads have to be reviewed before they go online. It takes up to one week for the approval, while you wait holding your breath for the clicks to pour in.
