Area Bookings begin for Motor Expo 2009 Confident that Car Market will Surge in Last Quarter

(SANEPR.com) June 8, 2009 -- Inter-Media Consultant Co., Ltd., Organizer of “THE 26th THAILAND INTERNATIONAL MOTOR EXPO 2009” or Motor Expo 2009, confirms its readiness in organizing the Motor Expo to respond to the car market revival. Car companies and vendors of accessories turned up in large numbers to attend the Area Reservation session.

Mr. Kwanchai Paphatphong, President and CEO of Inter-Media Consultant Co., Ltd. and Organizing Chairman of Motor Expo 2009 said the company is fully prepared to hold “THE 26th THAILAND INTERNATIONAL MOTOR EXPO 2009” during 2-13 December 2009 at IMPACT Challenger 1-3, Muang Thong Thani. This year the space in Challenger Hall 1-3 totalling 60,000 sq. m. will continue to be used and area allocation for car display will be the same as last year as it has proved appropriate for the Expo format as well as very convenient for spectators. The largest car display area is 1,480 sq. m. and the smallest is 308 sq. m. Large numbers of car companies and vendors of accessories turned up in the first day of Area Reservation to indicate their demand for space as they anticipate the auto market would begin to revive in the third quarter.

“I believe the auto market this year will not flop as some initially thought. The purchasing power of the consumers did not vanish; only their purchasing decisions have been suspended. I anticipate that by the third and fourth quarters the auto market would pick up because of positive factors like more stability on the political front, the international financial crisis has shown signs of improvement and car companies have adopted a strategy to continually come up with promotional packages to stimulate customers’ purchasing decisions. This opens up a good opportunity for buyers to buy cars at cheaper prices or get more special offers. At the same time the investment promotion policy of the Government should drive the car and auto parts industry to expand substantially”.

The Organizing Chairman of the 26th Motor Expo continued, ”As organizer, I have had confidence from the very beginning that expansion and stability of the auto industry including auto parts would soon return. That is why we decided on the concept of “DRIVING…FOR SUSTAINABILITY” for the Motor Expo this year as guideline for all parties to collaborate in pushing the auto market to continue its growth”.
