Auto Insurance Consumers Who Shop Online Save Big

USA (SANEPR.com) March 18, 2009 -- — More than half of the consumers who shopped online for car insurance and then bought a new policy saved up to $600 or more, according to a survey of consumers using http://cheap-car-insurance.org,(CCINS) the Internet's cheapest insurance marketplace.

One in three saved more than $700, with some saving $1,000 or more.

"Our data confirms the importance of comparing insurance to find the best value for your insurance dollar," said CCINS representative Donald McAree. "The surprise in this survey is not that consumers can save money by shopping, but rather the magnitude of those savings."

CCINS offers cheap auto insurance quotes from multiple leading insurance carriers, where consumers can easily compare many policies side by side and choose the one that's best for them.

The survey, completed in November, polled more than 900 consumers who received a quote from an CCINS carrier and then purchased a new policy, either from an CCINS marketplace participant, or from another carrier. CCINS conducted the consumer survey to evaluate the consumer response to its shopping service.

McAree noted that it is an opportune time to shop for auto insurance because rates have been falling nationally for the past 6 months after two decades of steady increases.
