AutoAlert Announces the Launch of its new iPhone Congestion Charge Application

(SANEPR.com) June 10, 2009 -- AutoAlert today announced the launch of its new Congestion Charge Application which allows you to check whether you have entered the London Congestion Charging Zone and if so, pay for the charge. If you forget to pay, a reminder text message is sent to your phone at the end of the day.

The AutoAlert iPhone Congestion Charge application works by sending its location to the AutoAlert system. This then confirms whether the iPhone is in the London Congestion Charging Zone and replies back with confirmation. Clicking the Pay Button in the application generates a text message payment or connects you to the Congestion Charging Call Centre. If no payment is attempted, AutoAlert will send a text message reminder to your phone at a time of your choosing.

The application is available now through the iTunes store for less than £5. The reminder service, along with additional reports, maps and features is also available for just £5 per month on a pay as you go basis. The system can also be accessed using an AutoAlert GPS Vehicle Tracking device.
