USA (SANEPR.com) June 19, 2008 -- BAA has announced it will showcase its latest plans for the Heathrow East Terminal at this year’s Civils exhibition, which takes place at Earls Court 2 in London from 18 to 20 November 2008. The leading airport company has also revealed that it will take advantage of the networking opportunities at the show to source new suppliers and attract some of the best talent from the civil engineering community.
Visitors to the BAA stand will be able to speak to staff about the construction project for the new Heathrow East Terminal, which is due to be constructed over the next five years and forms part of Heathrow’s £4bn capital investment programme. Phil Wilbraham, programme director for the Heathrow Eastern Campus Programme, said: “Heathrow Eastern Campus is a great programme of work that will help transform Heathrow for airlines and passengers. We're still in the early stages of the development, so we look forward to Civils 2008 as an opportunity to explain to the industry what we're up to.”
Civils brings together the whole industry in one place, offering unparalleled opportunities to network, educate, promote, learn and recruit among all of the sector’s leading stakeholders. As the most important event of the year for the civil engineering and construction industry, Civils is unrivalled in attracting key players, the best suppliers, the most respected and authoritative consultancies and contractors, and the most important decision makers in the sector.
“We want people to get a sense of why BAA is such an exciting place for anyone who wants to work on projects that are vital to our national infrastructure. We look forward to swapping ideas with other clients, as well as meeting suppliers who are interested in working with our framework contractors," explained Mr Wilbraham.
Other exhibitors at Civils 2008 will include Crossrail, The Highways Agency, consultants Gifford, contractors Dean & Dyball and product manufacturers like ACO Technologies and Roger Bullivant. For more information visit www.civils.com
