Be a Queen for a Day – Send Christmas Cards to Noah, a boy with Cancer

West Bloomfield, MI – Local author, Lori Faitel, is a volunteer with Queen for a Day, a non-profit organization who helps brighten the lives of children with cancer. Cancer is devastating for anyone; it is especially sad when a child is in their final stages.

Noah Biorkman is a 5 year old boy in the last stages of a 2-1/2 year battle with Neuroblastoma Cancer. The family is celebrating Christmas early this year and Noah’s request is to get lots of Christmas cards. Queen for a Day is headquartered in Mississippi and was founded in 2000. To date, there are over 30 local Queen for a Day chapters on over 20 states. Each local chapter hosts “Queen for a Day” and “Hero” parties at area pediatric cancer facilities. Little girls are given their own tiara, manicures and feather boas; little boys receive firefighter-themed play kits and get to spend time with local heroes; firefighters and police officers.
