Bristol County Savings Bank announces six officer promotions at their Taunton, MA headquarters.

TAUNTON, MA, USA (SANEPR.com) March 3, 2008 -- Bristol County Savings Bank recently announced the promotion of six officers based at the bank’s headquarters in Taunton, MA. Bristol County Savings Bank is a $1.1 billion mutual savings bank founded in 1846, with 10 offices located throughout Eastern Massachusetts and in Rhode Island.

Dennis Kelly, CEO of Bristol County Savings Bank, offered his congratulations to the six, noting “The dedication of our employees is a quality that sets Bristol County Savings apart from our competitors. A brief profile of each Bristol County Savings Bank officer promotion follows.

As Vice President of Operations at Bristol County Savings Bank’s Taunton headquarters, Kevin McCarthy will assume direct responsibility for managing all of the bank’s deposit and loan backroom operations. McCarthy, a Certified Public Accountant, previously served as the bank’s Controller. A graduate of Providence College with a B.A. in Accountancy, McCarthy resides in Hanover, MA.

Don Smyth has been promoted to Vice President at the bank’s Taunton headquarters where he will continue to oversee the bank’s facilities in addition to other duties. Smyth received his B.A. in Urban Studies from the University of Connecticut and his M.A. in City Planning from the University of Rhode Island. Currently, Smyth is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bristol Community College and is also Chairman of the Greater Attleboro/Taunton Coalition on the Homeless. In addition, he is a Board Member of the Attleboro Redevelopment Authority and a Board Member of Community Counseling of Bristol County. A longtime resident of Attleboro, MA, Smyth, along with his wife Joan Pilkington-Smyth, was the recipient of the 2004 Person of the Year Award bestowed by the Attleboro Area Chamber of Commerce.

As Vice President/Systems, Elizabeth Yebba will manage Bristol County Savings Bank’s computer network, including all security functions, and will also provide hardware maintenance support and serve as a liaison on data processing issues. Yebba, who is currently enrolled in New England School of Financial Studies, began her 20-year career with Bristol County Savings as a teller, advancing through the ranks to her most recent previous position as Network Administrator. Yebba, who resides in North Dighton, MA with her husband Kenneth and daughter Katelyn, serves as a volunteer religious education teacher at St. Joseph’s Church in North Dighton.

Kathy Mulhern has been promoted to Assistant Vice President/Marketing at Bristol County Savings Taunton headquarters where she will coordinate marketing and pr functions for the bank. Mulhern, who is currently attending the Massachusetts Bankers Association, School for Financial Studies at Babson College, joined the bank 8 years ago and most recently served as Assistant Marketing Officer. Mulhern, who resides in Taunton, MA with her husband Bob and their three children, is a Board Member and Secretary of the Boys & Girls Club of Taunton.

In her new position as Accounting Manager at Bristol County Savings Bank, Lisa Lassiter will be responsible for oversight of daily operations in the Accounting Department, coordinating and managing accounting and financial reporting functions in conformance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines. Lassiter, a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth with a B.S. in Accounting, previously served as Accounting Supervisor at Bristol County Savings. Lassiter currently resides in Wareham, MA with her husband Aaron.

Allie Rodrigues has been promoted to Indirect Lending Officer, responsible for processing and underwriting indirect loans while developing and promoting additional business. Rodrigues, who received her Associates Degree from Bristol Community College, previously served as an Indirect Installment Lender at Bristol County Savings. Rodrigues is a native of Fall River, MA where she continues to reside with her husband Robert and daughter Vitoria.
