Bristol County Savings Bank hosts Bobblehead Doll Night at McCoy Stadium on Saturday August 2nd.

Less than 2 years ago Dustin Pedroia left the PawSox, making his big league debut with the Boston Red Sox where he has been racking up accolades ever since. The image of Pedroia, the current starting second baseman for the Boston Red Sox and 2007 American League Rookie of the Year, will reappear at McCoy Stadium on Saturday August 2nd in the form of thousands of Dustin Pedroia bobblehead dolls, when the PawSox take on the Scranton WB Yankees at 6:05 pm.

The first 4000 young fans (age 14 and under) will receive a Dustin Pedroia bobblehead doll that night, courtesy of Bristol County Savings Bank and NBC-10. This high quality collector’s edition bobblehead doll will honor Pedroia’s many achievements.

The first member of Boston's 2004 Draft class to reach the majors, Pedroia was a postseason International League All-Star as a member of the Pawtucket Red Sox in 2006. Pedroia played for the PawSox until August 22, 2006 when he joined the Boston Red Sox roster for the remainder of the 2006 season. When he was initially drafted out of Arizona State Pedroia was quoted as saying” "It has been a goal of mine since I was a little kid to play professional baseball and now that is a dream come true.”

An inspiration to kids everywhere, Pedroia has been playing out that dream in a big way. In the 2007 World Series, he became the 2nd player to ever hit a leadoff HR in a World Series game, in his first at bat, and is currently one of the hottest hitters in the majors with a batting average of .314.

Bobblehead Doll Night highlights the affiliation the PawSox have with the Red Sox.
