CAI to Host Informational Breakfast on Collective Bargaining and Public Employee Unions

USA (SANEPR.com) June 19, 2008 -- WHAT: Capital Associated Industries, Inc., (CAI), the largest employers’ association in the state, in conjunction with the Employers Coalition of NC, will be holding a legislative breakfast to discuss collective bargaining in North Carolina. CAI anticipates over 30 legislators to attend the event, called The Difficulties in Governing With Unions. Speakers include Greg Mourad, director of legislation for the National Right to Work Foundation.

This event has been billed as an “informational breakfast” where a panel of administrators, who have worked in states with collective bargaining for public employees, will share their experiences and difficulties in working day-to-day with public employee unions. Each panelist will have five minutes to speak and then the floor will be opened up for discussion.

WHERE: In the cafeteria at the N.C. Legislative Building.

WHEN: Thursday, June 19th, from 7:30 a.m.- 8:15 a.m.
