CHINAPLAS 2012 Captures the Attention of the Globe

The world’s attention-grabbing plastics and rubber event, CHINAPLAS 2012 - the 26th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries, will stage its 26th edition at Shanghai New International Expo Center, PR China from April 18-21, 2012.

As Asia’s No. 1 and the world’s No. 2 plastics and rubber trade fair, CHINAPLAS’ scale keeps on growing year by year, and it has become an effective platform for buyers from all around the world to purchase chemicals, raw materials and a variety of plastics and rubber machines.

In CHINAPLAS 2011, over 94,000 visitors was recorded, of which over 20% came from 138 overseas countries and regions with India, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Iran, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Turkey as the top 10 origins.

In the coming edition held next April, the scale of CHINAPLAS is expected to reach a new height, occupying an exhibition area of over 200,000sqm and gathering over 2,600 international exhibitors,. The organizer further estimates the show will attract more than 100 groups of buyer delegations and 100,000+ trade visitors in which 20% of them come from overseas.

Ms Ada Leung, Assistant General Manager of Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, Organizer of CHINAPLAS, said, “China is currently the largest producing country of plastics machines in the world. In 2010, the top ten export markets of plastics machines were Brazil, Iran, Turkey, Indian, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Russia and Japan. We noted that the overseas buyers have placed increasing attention on China-made machines due to their good quality and competitive price. According to the overseas buyers, they were greatly impressed by the well mixture of both overseas and Chinese exhibits, which other shows could hardly compare. They were especially interested in visiting our Chinese Export Machinery and Materials Hall where the leading market players, such as Changzhou HengLi Machinery, Changzhou YongMing Machinhery, Zhejiang Zhenwei Printing & Packaging Machinery, Zhejiang Zhuxin Machinery etc., showcase their advanced machines and innovative materials.”

To enhance the show’s overseas exposure and have close contact with the overseas buyers, CHINAPLAS has launched a series of overseas promotion campaigns through various channels, such as media, travel agents, industrial seminars, trade fairs, etc. Starting from August this year till April 2012, CHINAPLAS will participate in several trade fairs in different ways.
