ClinTec International recruits Executive Vice President – Asia as part of a continued drive to devel

Bangalore, Inida. (SANEPR.com) July 25, 2007 -- ClinTec International has announced the appointment of Dr Nuggehally Srinivas to join its global operations as Executive Vice President – Asia, from its Indian office in Bangalore. As part of the next phase of an expansion and investment programme in India, Dr Srinivas plays a pivotal leadership role within the Indian operations and as the overall head for ClinTec in Asia.

Dr Srinivas who has been trained as a clinical pharmacologist in the USA, has over seventeen years of drug development experience in the Pharmaceutical industry. He held positions of increasing responsibility at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS, Princeton, NJ) in his tenure of over a decade in the USA. At BMS, Dr Srinivas worked on a range of NCEs across wide therapeutic areas leading to pre-clinical, clinical development and NDA filings. Recently, he held the title of Executive Vice President, Drug Development at Dr.Reddy's Laboratories (DRL), Hyderabad, India. In DRL, Dr Srinivas led, formed strategy for, and operationalized drug development initiatives including seamless integration of pre- clinical and clinical functions. Dr Srinivas holds editorial board position in several international journals and has published over 120 research articles. To the ClinTec group, Dr Srinivas brings a solid track record in pre-clinical and clinical drug development activities.


The recruitment of Dr Srinivas is further evidence of ClinTec’s push to provide ongoing guidance, support and international partnering opportunity to the Pharmaceutical industry within India, in the mission to globalize the output from Indian drug discovery and research.
