Corvallis Cancer "Warrior Princess" Chosen for ABC

Gorvallis, Oregon USA. (SANEPR.com) July 9, 2007 -- The Oregon premiere shooting of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, started on July 7. Construction, July 9 – July 14, will give Jenessa Nichole Byers and her family the home of their dreams. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which has won back-to-back Emmy Awards, will have their builders and designers working with Oregon builder Legend Homes and other hundreds of other local volunteer contractors, subcontractors and vendors who have donated time and materials. Legal requirements stipulate that individuals must be 18 years or older to volunteer.
The Byers Home is being made over at 851 NE Granger Road in Corvallis, Ore. Media are strongly encouraged to call one of the contacts listed below before coming to the building site. As this is a reality television program, shot as it happens, this schedule is subject to change without notice. No open toed shoes are allowed on the building site. No wireless transmission is allowed by ABC. All live coverage must be cleared by one of the information contacts below before admission to the Byers family building site in Corvallis, Ore.

Monday 7/9:
7:30 am to 10:30 am: Braveheart Rush and introduction to the project by Jim Chapman, president Legend Homes, Mike Goodrich, vice president and general manager of Legend Homes Corvallis communities. They will lead an all-in-blue t-shirt parade of hundreds of contractors and subcontractors and other volunteers to the construction site.
Demolition estimated at 1 p.m.

The time available for interviews will be highly variable on 7/13, but most like will take place Late afternoon (estimated) after Key-Turn Over is complete, interviews available with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition designers and Legend Home Builder Jim Chapman, president Legend Homes, and Mike Goodrich, vice president and general manager of Legend Homes Corvallis Communities.

Reveal Day: Byers family comes home.
