(SANEPR.com) March 26, 2008 --Stampington & Company’s collection of publications has expanded over the years to include more than 20 titles showcasing a broad range of artistic media. Somerset Digital Studio, the company’s newest annual publication focusing on digital artwork, was released on March 1, 2008.
Somerset Digital Studio represents the new generation of digital art. The premier issue features a range of artwork – including clothing, scrapbook pages, artist trading cards, and more – that has been primarily designed with digital graphics software. The caliber of artwork included in Somerset Digital Studio reflects that of its sister publication, Somerset Studio, which has been a leading resource for papercrafters for over 10 years.
Publisher Kellene Giloff and her editorial staff are always watching for emerging craft trends, such as the current digital movement, to feature in their publications. “We were seeing a growing trend in the artwork that was being submitted to our publications,” says Giloff. “Our scrapbookers, papercrafters, stampers, and even fabric artists were incorporating digitally-created elements into their art, and elevating it to a level we had not seen before. We knew that we had to create a publication for these artists – the ones that were bringing digital art to the level of fine art.”
Stampington & Company is anticipating a positive response from both new and experienced digital artists. Somerset Digital Studio will be available annually in March, and can be purchased on newsstands or directly from the publisher.
