Designer William Malcolm Launches His Second Annual William Malcolm Man of Style

Troy, MI, September 07, 2010 -- Classic menswear designer William Malcolm believes that style should be of substance. It is for this reason that he established the William Malcolm Man of Style & Substance Contest. The goal of this annual competition is to highlight, articulate and emphases the philanthropic contributions of Michigan men.

William realized that in order to assist in changing the perception of his home state that he would have to create a platform in which to showcase the State of Michigan’s true spirit. Which is one of compassion, pride and benevolence and thus the William Malcolm Man of Style & Substance Contest was formed.

The First annual Man of Style & Substance Contest www.WilliamMalcolmManofStyle.com began in September of 2009 the contest commenced with a call for entries which yielded over 300 culturally diverse entrants from across Michigan. The entries were narrowed to 25 semi-finalists based on their responses to several questions ranging from community service involvement, favorite Michigan based sports team and their idea of what constitutes chivalry towards women.

The contest successfully highlighted and raised awareness for over 60 local nonprofit organizations that were prominently featured during the contest and showcased at the gala. The Man of Style & Substance Selection Gala had over 350 attendees who came to witness the selection of the first annual William Malcolm Man of Style & Substance winner.

This year the 2010 William Malcolm Man of Style And Substance Contest will be even more exciting and dramatic than its inaugural counterpart. The entrants will participate in community service initiatives as well as a massive online voting competition (that last year yielded over 70,000 votes from around the country) www.WilliamMalcolmManofStyle.com . The top qualifiers will move forward to compete at the Man of Style & Substance Selection Gala in November. There the finalists will be asked by a panel of distinguished judges questions about their community service and philanthropy works to be selected as the William Malcolm Man of Style & Substance winner. The winner will win an exciting prize package worth in excess of $15,000 that includes an all inclusive trip for two to Mexico.
