USA (SANEPR.com) April 7, 2009 -- Dress for Success, Worcester that recently established its Worcester based chapter is proud to announce the Grand Opening of the Dress for Success Boutique, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, May 7, 2009 from 12:00—1:30p.m. At 434 Main Street, Suite 110, the Denholm Building, Worcester Mass. Dress for Success-Worcester was chosen out of a group of 160 cities around the world to open a boutique. The Board of Directors, lead by president Kate Kane are proud to be granted this prestigious honor. The new boutique will be stocked with clothing donated by “in kind” donations. It will carry suits, business outfits, hosiery, jewelry, accessories, shoes and more.
Kate Kane, President states, “We’re proud to have earned the Dress for Success charter, the impact it will have on Worcester is incredible. Women who have faced challenges in their lives and were unemployed will now have an opportunity to put their best foot forward in preparation for the interviewing and recruiting process of job hunting.”
Women who qualify for the Dress for Success program will be assisted in many ways to help them matriculate back into the working world. Besides the boutique, which will offer business clothing from head to toe, programs will be available to help women learn interviewing skills, resume writing, and much more. Worcester is the third Dress for Success chapter in Massachusetts joining its sister chapters Springfield and Boston.
Invited to the ribbon cutting is the press, local and state administration, as well as VIPs and individuals and entities that have supported the organization from its inception. A light lunch will be served and their will be interview and photo opportunities. Later in the afternoon an open house will take place from 4:00—6:00pm. Open to the public.
The Board continues to take donations to help keep the store stocked and to meet its expenses. Clothing should be of business attire new or gently worn clothing on hangers. Also, Dress for Success, a not for profit organization lead by a substantial Board comprised of a myriad of successful women in all sectors of the community who volunteer their services, is seeking financial donations as well.
