(SANEPR.com) May 4, 2009 -- Five people inlcuding two women killed in Lucknow

Lucknow. Five people including two women were hacked to death following a clash between two families in Mohanlalganj area of the state capital this morning.

The incident occurred in Gaura village under Mohanlalganj police kotwali, when two neighbours Sharawan Pasi and Kulai clashed over some issue.

Santoshi (50), wife of Shrawan, their sons Ramroop (6), Suran (4) and one and a half year old Ravi were axed to death. In retaliation, Srimati (50), wife of Kulai, was killed by the family of Shrawan while their son Rajendra (10) received serious injuries.

The senior officers reached the spot and the additional police force was deployed in the village, police said.

Three person had been arrested in this connection, police added.

According to police, both the families were nurturing an old enimity and an altercation between them had taken place one and a half year ago also
