Flight Support to Purchase Coventry Handling Ltd

West Midlands, UK. (SANEPR.com) January 2, 2007 -- The Airport has recently been purchased by CIAO group from TUI and is in the early stages of expansion. Plans for a new Passenger Terminal with excellent facilities, better car parking is all underway which should attract many airlines to operate from there.

ThompsonFly already have a massive presence, operating to 13 destinations including Faro, Malaga and Salzburg. Low cost carrier Wizzair who are based in Budapest have announced they will operating a three times weekly service to Katowice in Poland from July 2007. Brett Turner, CEO of Flight Support, who last month won the prestigious Anglo Irish Award Entrepreneur Of The Year; at the Isle of Man News Papers Awards for Excellence; is very excited about the company’s latest venture.

Flight Support first began operations at Ronaldsway Airport in February 2005 with 22 staff. It has expanded within 20 months by starting operations in Liverpool in October 2005, the purchase of Manchester Handling Ltd in May 2006 and with the addition of Coventry Airport Handling Ltd it will have a workforce of more than 200 people. It will also bring the annual Turnover to an excess of £6m.
