G2E Asia 2009 Tailors Conference To Address Latest Challenges Facing Global Gaming Industry

Macau (SANEPR.com) March 24, 2009 -- Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E Asia) will expand its conference content this year to include two new full-day conference forums – Global Markets Forum and Challenges & Opportunity: The Economy of Gaming – designed to offer insight into the key issues currently facing the international gaming community. The new full-day programs will complement G2E Asia’s existing multi-track conference and specialty programming. G2E Asia 2009 is scheduled for June 2-4 at the Cotai Strip® CotaiExpo™ at the Venetian Macau.

On Tuesday, June 2, G2E Asia 2009 conference attendees will attend the Global Markets Forum, which will examine the economic and regulatory issues affecting current and emerging markets in the pan-Asian region. Sessions will include “Asian Opportunities: The Potential of New Gaming Jurisdictions,” “Asian Operations: Gaming Across the Pacific Rim,” “Lessons Learned: Re-Making Macau” and “Cooperation and Conflict: An Overview of Asia’s Regulatory Environment.” The Global Markets Forum will coincide with the G2E Asia Gaming Management Certificate Program, a comprehensive professional development workshop that is also scheduled for the first day of the conference.

Closing out the G2E Asia 2009 conference on Thursday, June 4 will be the new all-day forum Challenges & Opportunity: The Economy of Gaming, featuring conference sessions created to equip attendees with the tools and resources to navigate today’s economic challenges. This forum will provide an analysis of the current challenges the industry is facing and highlight potential opportunities for improvement and change within gaming operations. In addition, attendees will learn what’s next for the Asian gaming markets in the keynote session “Asian Analysts: The Future of Gaming in Asia.” Other conference sessions will include “Hold Steady: Maintaining Your Market Share,” “A Delicate Balance: Budget, Staff and Customer Service” and “Finding Finance: Capital Expenditures in a Difficult Market.”

The conference at G2E Asia 2009 also will continue to feature sessions and conference tracks dedicated to a variety of other industry topics on Wednesday, June 3. Programming will include conference tracks examining Casino Design; the Gaming Floor; Marketing; Retail, Dining and Entertainment; and Security and Surveillance. An additional Wild Card conference track will highlight important topics not covered by the other conference tracks.
