Girbau UK Boosts Laundry Performance for Four Seasons Healthcare

London, 25 June 2008 – Headington Care Home, part of the Four Seasons Healthcare Group, is enjoying significant performance and efficiency gains in its in-house laundry after the installation of two new washing machines, two dryers and a small rotary press from Girbau UK.

The Headington is a large care home catering for up to 60 elderly residents, some with specialist needs including dementia to Alzheimer’s. An efficient laundry helps the home to maintain the highest levels of hygiene and present the right image to residents and visitors alike.

Since they were installed Girbau UK’s two HS-6013 (13kg) washers, two (23kg) gas dryers and a small rotary press have significantly boosted laundry efficiency in the home. Staff are now able to launder 25kg of bed linen and towels every hour.

“We have had a number of Girbau machines in the last couple of years and found them to be extremely reliable. We are now looking at purchasing even more,” said Roy Bicknell, The Headington’s Care Home Manager. “Our laundry must have the ability to process the home’s washing quickly, efficiently and be cost effective, and with as few breakdowns as possible”.
