Got Prayers? God First Prayer App keeps believers organized

Julia Mitchell remembers a time when she would make promises to pray for people, but sometimes she would realize that her memory had failed her. That’s why she saw a need for an app that would remind her to lift others up to God in prayer.

“I created the God First Prayer App as a way to help me get organized in my prayer life,” Mitchell said. “I love to pray for people and often someone would ask me to. My intentions are good, but often I forget.”

The prayer app allows users to enter prayer requests that are organized into each day of the week.

“With the God First Prayer App I can immediately add the prayer on the date and time that I need to pray it and set myself a reminder,” Mitchell said.

Don’t know how to pray? The app also offers advice on how to talk to God. Users will remember to count their blessings more often when they log results in the answered prayers feature.

Mitchell believes putting God first is a non-negotiable habit that must be formed by people who are serious about their faith. This app is a useful tool to keep people on track in their walk with God.

Franchesca Rios downloaded the God First Prayer App at the iTunes store for 99 cents and gave it a five-star rating.

“This app is really a great inspiration,” Rios said.

The God First Prayer App is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPod and requires iOS 4.1 or later. Mitchell has noticed a difference in her prayer life and believes others can benefit from the resource as well.

“Now when someone asks me to pray for them, I do it,” she said.
