“The menu prices at Jalapeno are very affordable. By thoroughly planning and choosing the where to get our ingredients --we were able to come out with very reasonable price point for our dishes… much lower than other Mexican restaurants around.” He adds.

Spotting Jalapeno Cantina Mexicana at the Food Street of Ortigas Home Depot is effortless. The exterior of the restaurant is tastefully designed true to its theme. The quaint and cozy appeal of the Jalapeno sets it apart from the neighboring establishments. From the darkly tainted wooden furniture, the heavy wooden doors and subdued yellow-orange painted walls --- the rustic outdoor seating area sets the mood for guests that they are in for an authentic Mexican experience.

Both for aesthetic and function , a small tequila bar with high metal and wood stools is located by the entrance. Its center piece is a dark- arched wooden display case mounted on the wall-- where different liquors used for their Mexican cocktails are showcased. Also--several small accent pieces are found on the walls and atop the bar to complete look.

The Mexican theme continues as you step inside the restaurant. The remarkably detailed interior design make foodies feel that they are in a small cantina in Mexico. Founded by Romeo Reyes Jr. and Rommel Ramos, two friends who are traditional Mexican foodies, decided to put up a place where real Mexican dishes are offered all the time. They consulted a team of culinary professionals whose expertise is on Mexican Cuisine. After months of thorough research and careful preparation, on April 18th of this year, the first Jalapeno Cantina Mexicana finally opened its doors to the public.

Jalapeno Cantina Mexicana is open for lunch and dinner daily. Opens Monday to Sunday at 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. then resumes operation after a 2- hour siesta , 6pm – 2am. Parking is free at the Ortigas Home Depot Compound. Jalapeno Cantina Mexicana accepts reservations and walk-ins. Dress code is casual, perfect for families, groups and office gatherings.
