Jazz Choreography Enterprises presents the New York Jazz Choreography Project

New York, NY, USA. (SANEPR.com) October 20, 2009 – Jazz Choreography Enterprises will be presenting its fourth semiannual dance concert, the New York Jazz Choreography Project, on November 14th at 8 p.m. and on the 15th at 2 p.m. The concert will be held at the Manhattan Movement & Arts Center, 248 West 60th Street, near West End Avenue, in NYC. Tickets are $25 in advance, available online and by phone through Smarttix.com or 212-868-4444, and $30 (cash only) at the door.

The New York Jazz Choreography Project is a celebration of jazz dance featuring original works by 12 emerging and established choreographers. Bob Boross of Jazz Dance E-News called it “a tribute to the dedication of the art of jazz dance by the organizers, choreographers, and dancers.” Audiences of all ages will be treated to dances in a variety of jazz styles – from classic musical theater to hip hop – and the chance to see jazz dance as the rich art form it is, with its glorious variety of styles and cultural influences. Co-Artistic Directors Merete Muenter and Marian Hyun plan the program with the goal of appealing to as wide an audience as possible. Previous concerts have sold out.

The New York Jazz Choreography Project is made possible in part with public funds from the Manhattan Community Arts Fund, supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and administered by Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, and the sponsorship of The Greater New York Development Company.
