Jericho City of Praise Church Announces Family & Friends Day

LANDOVER, MD July 25, 2011 – Joel R. Peebles pastor of Jericho City of Praise Church in Landover, MD announced that the church would host Family and Friends Day on July 31, 2011. The summer celebration offers activities for the entire family. On July 31, the regularly scheduled 8am and 11am church services will combine for one service at 10am. Family and Friends Day will follow the combined 10am service.

“The principle focus of everything that we do at Jericho City of Praise is worshiping God and winning hearts to Jesus Christ,” said Pastor Peebles, “Family and Friends day is an opportunity for our church and our community to give God glory and praise for blessing our ministry.”

Some of the activities include laser tag, carnival rides, a backyard obstacle course, moon bounces, and mind winder.

The event will also include an outdoor praise and worship concert with performances by the Jericho Mass Choir, Janay Peebles, Outreach 247, Kevin Levar and Restin Jackson.

“We have worked hard to make sure that everyone has something to enjoy,” said First Lady Ylawnda Peebles. “The teens gave us advice on the games to include. I am also very excited that we have a mommies group section for mothers with young children.”

The activities are free and open to all. Food can be purchased on site. In order to be admitted into the festivities, you must display a red armband that is being distributed at Jericho City of Praise church services and by the Family and Friends committee.
