Kotak Mahindra Bank participates in OIFC Investment and Interactive Meets in London

An Indian investor meet was organized for Non Resident Indians (NRIs) in London on June 21, 2010. The event was jointly organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Overseas Indian Facilitation Centre (OIFC), Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA) and the Indian High Commission in UK.

The event was organised at Bombay Brasserie, one of the leading Indian Restaurants in London, and was attended by over 100 prominent business and community leaders of Indian origin. Dr. A. Didar Singh, Secretary, MOIA and Chairman, OIFC chaired the event in the presence of Mr. R N Prasad, Deputy High Commissioner to UK. Some of the prominent personalities who attended the event were Lord Karan Billimoria, Lord Meghnad Desai, Lord Diljit Rana- President GOPIO, Dilip Tahil among several others. Some of the key topics discussed were around the Indian economy, infrastructure development, and education and investment opportunities in India.

Kotak Mahindra Bank participated in the event as a strategic partner. Mr. KVS Manian, Group Head, Consumer Banking spoke at the occasion on the strength of the Indian Banking sector and opportunities for NRIs/PIO to invest in India.

The Consul General of India, Birmingham organised another event with the NRIs on June 23, 2010 in Birmingham. Dr. A. Didar Singh, Secretary, MOIA & Chairman, OIFC spoke on various topics of interest to NRIs, and the importance of OIFC and partner organisations in supporting the economic engagement. The event was attended by over 60 well known persons of Indian origin. Mr. Deepak Sharma, Head - NRI Banking and Mr. Somer Massey, Director - International Operations represented Kotak Mahindra Bank at the event.
