In 1926, a National Father's Day Committee was formed in New York City and thereafter the custom spread across the world. Thanks to the lady, the world now has an official day to celebrate the spirit of fatherhood – the spirit of loving, giving and sacrificing that a father upholds. Nowadays Father’s Day is celebrated across the world in accordance with the customs and practices of the region. India, along with most countries, celebrates Father’s Day on the third Sunday of June.
