New York, NY – September 19, 2007 – MIRACLE HOUSE PARTNERS WITH DIVERSITY PLAYERS OF HARLEM FOR THEIR PRODUCTION OF DIE LAUGHING.
As part of their commitment to serving the community with their artistic endeavors, Diversity Players of Harlem will be hosting a health fair on September 30, 2007 in conjunction with their premiere of Die Laughing, by Marq Overton. The play deals with the trials and tribulations of Michael Laurence, a struggling but talented misogynistic comedian. On the
threshold of the biggest break of his career, he is forced to take a serious look at his life after being stricken with male breast cancer.
This unique and compelling drama reflects, in many ways, the real-life mission of Miracle House, which provides housing and support services to cancer patients and others facing critical medical issues. Diversity Players of Harlem is donating a portion of all proceeds to Miracle House.
