Marx Layne & Company Promotes Michael Odom to Senior Account Executive

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., November 10, 2009—Marx Layne & Company—a full-service marketing and public relations agency—announced the company promotion of Michael Odom to Senior Account Executive. The announcement was made by agency managing partner Michael Layne.

Odom joined the Farmington Hills-based company as Account Executive in April 2006 with ten years of previous experience in public relations. In his new position, Odom will be responsible for supporting public relations strategies for clients in the food manufacturing, retail, nonprofit and professional service industries.

Prior to joining Marx Layne & Co., Odom served as Project and Event Manager for the Midwest AIDS Prevention Project in Ferndale, Mich. His responsibilities included managing HIV prevention and education programs, coordinating community outreach and media relations.

Odom also held the position of Marketing Account Representative for M Plan in Indianapolis, where he assisted in managing and retaining HMO business with large and small group employers.

In addition to being proficient in reading and writing Spanish, Odom has been a key presenter at numerous speaking engagements across the country and is a published writer.

Odom is a member of the Board of Directors for the Southwest Detroit Business Association. He resides in Redford, Michigan.
