Mentalist Gerry McCambridge Adds a Fifth Night to Vegas Repertoire

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. (SANEPR.com) December 5, 2007 -- On the heels of his recent participation as a contestant on NBC’s reality series Phenomenon, mentalist Gerry McCambridge (http://www.mentalist.com) is in high demand. So much so, that upon returning to Las Vegas, where he’s a headliner at Hooters Casino Hotel, he signed a new contract to perform an additional night at the popular venue. Famous for his ability to read minds and influence thoughts, McCambridge can now be seen live in Vegas five nights a week.

This is an exciting career step, McCambridge says. Mentalism is an art form Vegas has never seen before, so being asked to perform another night in ‘Sin City’ is a true testimony to my show. Of course, competing in the reality show ‘Phenomenon’ and performing every week on live TV in front of millions of people helped play a major role in this achievement.

After NBC conducted an intensive search for the best mentalists in the world, McCambridge was one of 10 contestants chosen to compete for the $250,000 prize. The Wednesday-night series premiered on October 24 and drew 9.5 million viewers.

I didn’t win the grand prize, but re-signing with Hooters for another night has really been the ultimate reward, McCambridge says. Demand for my performance here, as well as private shows nationwide, is now bigger than ever. This is incredible, considering that just two and a half years ago I pursued my dream, and moved my family to Las Vegas, after signing a three-week contract with a local Vegas casino. Due to overwhelming ticket demand, I have been working in Vegas ever since. I can be a soccer dad during the day with my six kids, and a Vegas headliner at night. Life is beautiful!

New York born and raised, Gerry McCambridge started his future career as a mentalist at the early age of eight, when he received a magic kit as a gift.
