New Hotel Manager for The Victoria Hotel

Malta (SANEPR.com) March 5, 2009 -- Mr Kevin Callus is the new Hotel Manager for The Victoria Hotel.

Mr Callus joined The Victoria in 2001 as part of the front desk team. He later moved on to the post of Events Co-ordinator, a post he held till 2007 when he was appointed Operations Manager.

A graduate in Hospitality Management from the Institute of Tourism Studies in Malta, Mr Callus’ career was honed through his experience in 4-star hotels in Malta. He also worked at the Hilton Glasgow in Scotland.

Speaking about this new appointment Ms Claire Zammit Xuereb, the Group Hospitality Director, said, “Kevin is a hard worker whose passion for the industry is impressive. His loyalty and experience have given him a deep insight and understanding of The Victoria’s operations. His familiarity with the various departments is essential to his new post and also gives him a real sense of our operational team’s strengths”.

Through his experience in the Hospitality Industry Mr Callus will ensure that the Victoria Hotel will remain one of the leading hotels in Malta with excellent, professional and friendly service. His main responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of the hotel operations on a day to day basis including front-of-house, food and beverage operations and housekeeping, in order to ensure consistent delivery of product quality and service to exceed guests’ expectations.
