Over 600 Dubai Residents Attend the Better U – Mind, Body & Soul Organised by Eton Institute

(SANEPR.com) June 2, 2009 -- Dubai, 1 June 2009 – Better U – Mind, Body & Soul event held on Saturday, 30th May attracted over 600 Dubai residents who arrived in flocks to learn and experience something new.
Kids and adults alike enjoyed a free day full of fun and exciting activities such as face painting, fitness lessons, massage lessons, henna tattooing, languages, computer courses, salsa & tango lessons, and much more.
The event was organised by Eton Institute at Dubai Knowledge Village with over 30 leading organisations offering a range of free to learn courses and activities devised for all age groups.
Dr. Eli Abi Rached, Managing Director of Eton Institute commented: “The event was a great success and we are thankful to all the organisations who contributed to making May 30th a truly great day to learn something new. We look forward to organising similar events in future that involves the whole community.”
Several people brought in old clothes, books, toys and shoes to donate to prominent non – profit organisations such as Al Ihsan, Feline Friends, SNAP and Al Noor centre for special needs children who conducted a donation drive at the event and raised awareness for their causes. ACTED non - profit organisation for emergency relief conducted a T-shirt painting competition for Kids and was extremely popular.
A stellar musical performance by the children from Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra, (EYSO, under the honorary patronage of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein), left the visitors spellbound while the joola dance performed by the students from Shaikha Maitha Bint Rashid Al Maktoum Centre for Special Needs was widely appreciated for their wonderfully coordinated effort.
Other highlights of the day included Dave Crane’s Seven Secrets to a Richer Life and group drumming sessions by Dubai Drums which had one and all drumming to exotic beats.
Mr. Winston commented, “It was a truly remarkable experience planned by Eton Institute and I am sure everyone enjoyed as much as myself, if not more.”
Mrs. Shabir, who attended with her two daughters said, “My daughters aged 12 & 19 participated in this event and are in praises for the excellent organisation, enriching programs and fun filled workshops. We all returned with a better Mind, Body & Soul.”
Several prizes were given out by participating companies. Eton Institute alone handed out over 10 online language courses which were distributed by a Radio 2 RJ broadcasting live from the event.
