PACKED FULL OF OPPORTUNITIES IFE POLAND

India (SANEPR.com) February 26, 2008 -- A total of 5257 participants attended the event including personnel from 217 exhibiting companies coming from more than 48 countries including Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, England, Eritrea, Estonia, Finland, France, Gabon, Greece, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Mongolia, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Scotland, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, UAE, USA and of course Poland. The show recorded 27 per cent increase in unique attendance from its previous year.

The event enjoyed support form 9 leading international trade associations as well as local support from Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Polish Association of Meat Importers and Exporters and the Polish Hotels Association. State Secretary of Agricultural and Rural Development Mr. Henry Kawakzyk did the honour of opening the event.

The success of the show is supported by Mr. Sabri F Akalin from First Orient Foods/Final TA (Germany), who commented: “IFE Poland was my very first contact with the Polish market. In just three days the show enabled me to gain enough valuable information and contacts to get business off to an astonishing rapid start.”
The quality and volume of the visitors was justified by comments made by Kevin Woods from QV Foods (England), who said: “Poland is a great market for fresh produce and we met good number of quality visitors interested in our products. IFE Poland 2007 was our first venture into the Polish market and has proven hugely successful for us.”

New Ideas and Initiatives
• IFE Poland Advisory Board - Consisting of leading Polish and International food and drink industry experts, the new IFE Poland Advisory Board has been created to steer the event in the direction the industry wants.
• IFE Poland Professional Development Seminars - These seminars will be targeting each of the relevant trade visitor sectors of the event and designed to increase numbers and their length of stay.
• IFE Poland Hosted Buyer Programme - Montgomery International will qualify and select buyers from the retail, wholesale, import and distribution sectors of the Polish food and drink industry. Once confirmed exhibitors have the opportunity to meet with these key buyers
• IFE Poland Wine Challenge - A competition designed to award excellence! The Poland Wine Challenge, run in conjunction with Robert Joseph MW, will bring together wines from across the world in a competition to judge the best.
• McLane Event Involvement - IFE Poland has announced that it is to join forces with McLane Polska to provide Polish retailers with one focused trade exhibition in May 2008.
