PartyPoker Offers Mac Poker Players Monthly Million, $1 Million Race

The Monthly Million has become the centerpiece of PartyPoker’s tournament lineup. The $640 buy-in event runs on the first Sunday of every month and guarantees at least a seven-figure prize pool. In the event, which follows a Championship Structure, players start with 20,000 chips and blinds begin at a scant 25-50, increasing every 20 minutes. Antes kick in at the start of Level 6, when blinds are 250-500. There is also a five minute breather after every hour of play.

PartyPoker’s Instant Play option offers a no-download alternative to playing on the popular site; all that is required is the most recent version of Java. These include a $1,500 buy-in to a WSOP preliminary tournament plus airfare and hotel accommodations for two. All told, PartyPoker Mac players may turn out in droves for the WSOP in 2009.

The top 3,000 PartyPoker players on the $1 Million Race leader board will finish in the money, with at least $20 going to every qualifying player. Tickets to WSOP qualifiers on PartyPoker will also be given out, making the $1 Million Race a truly lucrative affair for all Mac poker players.
