Rockstar GTA 5 Release Date

The GTA 5 trailer looks set to delight enthusiasts throughout the globe and even with the key question unanswered the hype around the trailer looks to be very well justified.

What's All The Fascination About?
Early Nov saw the release of the GTA 5 trailer and first impressions of the game have fueled debate all over the web. We may all still be in the dark as to when the video game will be introduced but one point is for sure, it's left game enthusiasts itching for more.

Perhaps part of the reason that a verified release date would have been predicted is the length of time in between the preceding game and this release. GTA 4 was released in April 2008, six months before its established launch date. Not only is that well over 3 years ago now but it was also not regarded as to be one of the best games in the series.

Personally, I'm holding out to a return to form of the previous installment, Vice City, which epitomized every little thing that I loved in the GTA franchise. And from the looks of the trailer, there may well be something of this in the offering.

So Can We Anticipate An Early GTA 5 Release Date?
While analysts remain split on the exact launch date of the game one shop, Zavvi have given a distinct release date for the game as being 23 Nov 2012. Is this a genuine possibility or have they just selected out a number from thin air?

So can we gain knowledge from history here? Previously, Rockstar Games have gone for an early release, somewhere in Q2. However, 2012 also sees the scheduled launch of May Payne so there may well be a clash with the two titles both being out to promote at the same time period.

If the above ends up to be correct, enthusiasts could be in for a lengthier delay than they would indeed have wished for.

What Do The Industry experts Have To Say About This?
On the one hand there's the analysts who have forecasted an early release.

Amongst these is Wedbush Morgan's Michael Patter who hinted at a release in June 2012, saying that, "if they're ready in June, they'll do it."

The other party is leaning towards a Nov launch. Both Divnich and Tom Hopkins cited Q4 as being the most likely date.

From Divnich, "If I could create the most ideal schedule for Rockstar, it would be a May Payne release in May and GTA 5 in November 2012."

While it would be great to extrapolate an answer from these thoughts and opinions it seems that we can't. Not just yet anyway. We'll just have to sit and wait until more information becomes evident.

My only hope is that the game is released only when its completely ready to played. I would loathe to see an incomplete version of the game and have to wait for patches and updates to complete the gameplay. It would be a pity if Rockstar pandered to consumer demand.

No matter the case, it looks certain that 2012 is going to be an exhilarating year for Rockstar Games and for the followers that follow them.

What About The Trailer?
There's lots of other great info on the trailer and even though you may not see the game release date openly publicized, there's a huge selection of information on what to expect from the gameplay.

From an initial viewing you can see that from the opening scene the car license plate is from San Andreas. Tommi Vercetti is back in town. Prostitutes wander the avenues, and there is what looks to be a multiplayer option in that you can play as different characters.

You can see from the license plate on the car and from the beach locations that the game looks to be set in San Andreas. Sadly, this means no streets of London mayhem for the UK followers.

The arena you get to play in appears to be massive. I can't say for sure but initial impressions are that this could be greater than anything we've seen to date in the preceding games. Plus, visually I'm already starting to salivate at the prospect of playing this.

If you haven't seen this by now, I would honestly suggest to do so. There's so much to see that I didn't catch it all on the very first run and there may well be stuff you see that I didn't notice.
