Rotimi Rainwater tapped to direct Truckstop.

Los Angeles, Ca. USA (SANEPR.com) December 28th, 2009 -- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE. TRACEY EDMONDS for Edmonds Entertainment, and SUSAN WRIGHT for The Criterion Group, are set to producer the independent film TRUCKSTOP.
Penned by first time writer, TONY ALOUPIS, with revisions by RAINWATER & STEVEN GRABOWSKY, TRUCKSTOP is the story of Charles, a young man with cerebral palsy who works at truck stop along the New Jersey shore taking care of his father who is dying of AIDS. While at the truck stop, he befriends Vicki, a troubled prostitute. Through their friendship, they find the strength that each needs to confront their obstacles.
TRUCKSTOP will be directed by ROTIMI RAINWATER who most recently shot the documentary feature “SP!T”.
Says RAINWATER, who originaly optioned the material which was found by on the website, INKTIPPRO.COM. “It was amazing," says RAINWATER, "I’d never used the site before, but it was suggested by a writer friend of mine. So I went on and found this little gem of a story. No one believes I found it there."
This is Grabowsky and Rainwater's second collaboration; first being the feature version of Rainwater's award winning, documentary SP!T. They are currently working on the bio-pic of educator Jack Bower titled, “LETTERS TO JACK”.
The film’s financing is being handled by GRAHAM TAYLOR at WILLIAM MORRIS ENDEAVOR, and is scheduled to shoot first quarter of 2010 in New Jersey.
