Samsung wows partners with ‘new species’ retail event

Australia (SANEPR.com) June 4, 2009 -- Sydney, 4th Jun 2009 – To unveil Samsung’s LED TV category, retail partners were taken on safari to see this ‘new species’ in a specially designed jungle environment. With vivid colours and true to life picture quality, the new Samsung LED TV range was well received in this natural habitat recreation.

The event was designed to thank retailers for their ongoing support and to debut all new products. A multi-room retail extravaganza showcasing new-look display stands and real-life contortionists ensured the entire product tour was an experience to enjoy.

After toasting to shared success with a glass of Soju, traditional Korean spirits, retail partners were then treated to VIP treatment at an AFL football game. Thanks to Samsung’s major sponsorship of the Essendon Football Club, the guests enjoyed hospitality and took in Essendon vs Hawthorn at Etihad Stadium; meeting Bomber’s players including coach, Matthew Knights pre-game. As an added benefit, one lucky guest, Michael Seaman from Good Guys, won the much anticipated barrel draw – giving him the once in a lifetime chance to toss the coin on pitch prior to the match!

Samsung Managing Director, Mr KY Choi joined retailers at the event and the game, and reiterated his thanks to the channel for playing their part in making Samsung the #1 television manufacturer (GfK 2008 – unit sales).
