United Arab Emirates. (SANEPR.com) November 12, 2007 -- Diabetes currently affects 246 million people globally, including nearly 21 million children and adults in various regions. For all of them and the many millions more at risk,15th Saturday - December 2007 is a highly significant date as it marks the first Campaign in association with University Medical Centre Doctors Forum.
AIPCE,the Euro-Asian Event management Team who organises the campaign, will be lead by the local Al Ain registered AIPCE AL MAYYASI, the Event Management Company, and many other organizations to mark the first campaign in celebrations throughout Al Ain.
This first Campaign is the primary global awareness campaign of the Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. In order to keep this University Medical Centre Doctors Forum-observed day, AIPCE is doing promotional campaign.
“Diabetes must be managed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A student with diabetes cannot take a break from diabetes when he or she boards the school bus in the morning.”
“It’s vital that they and their parents know they will be in a medically safe environment that affords them the same educational opportunities as other students.”
Diabetes is one of the nation’s most prevalent, debilitating, and costly diseases. Nearly 21 million children and adults in various regions have diabetes, and if present trends continue, one in three nationalities, and one in two minorities, born in 2000 will develop diabetes in their lifetime.
