Shmoop Opens New Resource for Professors, Teachers, and Librarians.

USA (SANEPR.com) April 17, 2009 -- Shmoop, an online learning and teaching resource, today opened Shmoop Teachers. This new section of Shmoop is geared toward professors, teachers, librarians, and home school parents who want to make learning more fun and relevant for their students. Shmoop Teachers provides an introduction to teaching resources on Shmoop and facilitates idea sharing among teachers who use Shmoop.

Teachers have always been close to our hearts here at Shmoop. Many of us have taught at the high school and college levels. A number of us grew up in teaching families (Shmoop parents taught everything from Preschool to AP English). Shmoop just opened to the public three months ago, but the response from educators of all stripes - teachers, professors, librarians, home school parents - has been wonderful. We get fired up when we hear from educators who want to make learning more fun and relevant for today’s students.

So, we thought it was high time to build a section of Shmoop dedicated to educators. It’s a humble beginning, but we have big plans for the future. And, as always, we want to hear your two cents, pesos, shekels, whatever you’ve got.
