Spring Fling & Fashion Show for Breast Cancer Awareness

USA (SANEPR.com) April 23, 2009 -- If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer you understand how life changing it can be. For women in the U.S., breast cancer death rates are higher than those for any other cancer besides lung cancer. Besides skin cancer, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among U.S. women. More than 1 in 4 cancers are breast cancer. About 40,480 women in the U.S. are expected to die in 2008 from breast cancer, though death rates have been decreasing since 1990. These decreases are thought to be the result of treatment advances, earlier detection through screening, and increased awareness. When Rendi Groce had a favorite aunt die from Breast Cancer, she has become an advocate for Breast Cancer Awareness. She has been supporting awareness through different ways since 1997. She recently opened a shop in Friendswood, Texas, called The Girly Girl Boutique. It is not difficult for her to go pink, “ I love pink I even have a pink microwave”

The girls at Girly Girl are really working hard to get ready for there upcoming Spring Fling Fashion Show and Open House on Saturday May 2nd. Doors open at 10am where guest are greeted with refreshments. There several things planned during the day, including a eyelash extension demonstration. The silent auction items are being donated by various businesses including a 100 dollar Basket from Celsius Health Drinks. Bake sale starts at 11am with the proceeds going to Breast Cancer Awareness. The Fashion Show featuring the lovely ladies of Friendswood, Texas, will start at 1:00.
