Success in Scotland Excel procurement process enables growth for Asbestos Consultants

Asbestos management and training consultants Environmental Essentials, are celebrating 6 years of trading by moving to larger premises in Bellshill, which contain purpose built laboratory facilities to cope with the continuing growth of their Scottish operations. The company now provides accredited inspection and testing services from each of their existing offices in Stoke-on-Trent, Glasgow and the Newcastle-upon-Tyne and currently employs over 85 staff nationwide.

Director James Riley said “Despite the difficult economic climate, we see the investment in regional offices as the most effective manner in which to develop our business whilst replicating the excellent culture and services we continue to provide from our Head office in the Midlands, for our valued clientele in Scotland.”

Due to their recent acceptance onto the Scotland Excel Framework for Asbestos Surveying and Testing, Environmental Essentials are expanding their operations in Scotland by recruiting further locally based personnel to join the existing team. The regional office in Bellshill has now been operating for over 2 years now and boasts both site based and laboratory technical personnel, as well as an experienced administration team, whose customer focused approach augers well for the future.

Scotland Excel is the Centre of Procurement Expertise for the local government sector in Scotland, whose purpose is to work collaboratively with members and suppliers to raise procurement standards, secure best value for customers and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of public sector procurement in Scotland.

Business Development Manager, Jamie Stevenson, has been employed by Environmental Essentials to sustain this encouraging growth and to further establish partnering relationships across the Central Belt of Scotland. Jamie commented ‘With potentially over 30 local authorities and another 60 public sector organizations with access to such a procurement service this was seen as a significant milestone in the company’s development and we look forward to forging working relationships with organizations seeking to utilize the Scotland Excel Framework in the future.’
