Sura Vie, the new live music gastro-lounge, in the heart of the city at Connaught Place opened its doors on the 16th December. With winter upon us and Christmas and New Year’s just around the corner, the food lover’s and music fans around the city are in for a special treat. With a menu handcrafted by Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor that brings together the best of Indian and International cuisine, Sura Vie promises every food lover in the city a treat that will have them coming back for more. This is complemented by an event calendar that showcases the most exciting bands on the Indian music scene.

The launch saw Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor and Manish Tandon, welcoming their guests and raising a toast to the launch of this new lounge.
The grand opening of Sura Vie was kicked off with performances by Half Step Down followed by the Raghu Dixit Project. The electrifying performances by Half Step Down and Raghu Dixit had the guests enthralled while the delectable food menu perfectly complemented this high energy event.

Spotted enjoying the evening ‘do’ were socialites like Ms. Bonny and Mr. Jas Arora, Ms Sonu and Mr. Atul Wasan, and Ms. Mehar Bhasin to name a few. The launch was also followed by after party where guests were seen letting their hair down and splurging on wine and snacks.

Sura Vie with its casual eclectic ambience heralds the transition of chic dining in a relaxed dining space.

Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, on the launch of Sura Vie said, “Our goal at Sura Vie is to provide a feast for the senses- exciting live music, good food and an exquisite ambience.” Sharing his vision, Manish Tandon, Managing Director, a seasoned hand at setting up and managing international lounges and restaurant concepts, said “We want to promote contemporary Indian music by giving bands across India a chance to showcase their music at a venue built to give the audience a tremendous concert experience accompanied by a menu developed by the biggest names in Indian cuisine, Chef. Delhi chased away the winter chills with high energy live music and lip smacking food at Sura Vie, the new live music gastro-lounge, on the second day of its special launch event at Connaught Place. Continuing the party from the day before the Saturday night featured artists were Sajid Akbar and Band followed by Mrigya.

The crowd was mesmerized by the lyrical styling of Sajid Akbar and band. They were then treated to the eclectic music of Mrigya who blended many diverse influences into their performance. The extraordinary performance was perfectly complemented by the exquisite ambience at Sura Vie along with a contemporary international fusion menu. The evening saw, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor and Mr. Manish Tandon welcome celebrities, special invitees and music aficionados to the second night of Sura Vie’s high profile opening.

The Sura Vie launch party was spread over two nights on the 16th and 17th of December. The featured artists on the 16th night were The Raghu Dixit Project and Half Step Down. Continuing the party were Sajid Akbar and Band followed by Mrigya on the 17th night.

The weekly event calendar features Karaoke night on Mondays to bring out the rock star in you, ladies night on Wednesdays, retro night on Fridays for those who like to start the weekend with some nostalgic grooves. Saturday night is high energy dance music followed by a delectable Sunday brunch to ease you back into the week. The big event each week is Thursday night live which showcases some of the most exciting bands on the Indian music scene.

The December event calendar features bands such as Indigo children and Faridkot on Thursday 22nd and 29th respectively. Christmas Eve will feature the band “Something Relevant” flying in from Mumbai for a special holiday performance followed by DJ Sachin bringing in the New Year.
