“TO ME!” “TO YOU!” CHUCKLE BROTHERS ARE NEW FACES OF NEW VAN COMPARE AD CAMPAIGN

07/11/2011 Oh dear, oh dear! Paul and Barry Chuckle, better known as the Chuckle Brothers, are the new stars of the Van Compare TV ad campaign. Van Compare have enlisted the talents of the Chuckle Brothers to draw the attention of van owners to the incredible savings they stand to make on van insurance when they use the Van Compare online insurance comparison tool!
The Chuckle Brothers have picked up the baton from cult Van Compare advert star Andy Scott of the 70s glam-rock outfit, The Sweet, once more demonstrating Van Compare’s love of nostalgic pop-culture figures! You’ll probably remember the Chuckle Brothers from their iconic CBBC programme Chucklevision which, incredibly, is the longest running sitcom in the UK. You might not have realised it, but Chucklevision has been going for 22 years. That’s 22 years of slapstick gags, japes, pranks, disasters, DIY foul-ups, Yorkshire accents and those classic catchphrases: “Silly me.” “Silly you!”, “Oh dear oh dear oh dear…” and of course the much-loved: “To me!” “To you!”.

The ads feature the Chuckle Brothers using a number of their all-time top routines and catchphrases to grab the attention of van drivers UK-wide! Keep your eyes peeled for The Chuckle Brothers on television and cinema screens, both in the new Van Compare advert and elsewhere! The Chuckle Brothers are having a bit of a renaissance at the moment. After a couple of quieter years, the terrible twosome are back with a vengeance and have all sorts of chuckle-worthy plans up their sleeves for the coming months. Perhaps most exciting of all is the debut of their first ever 3D spoof-horror movie, which is rumoured to be set for release in 2012!
