Virtual Worlds for Kids Review Site Launched

Singapore October 27, 2009 –

In 2007, Disney procured Club Penguin – a virtual world for kids - for $350 million with another $350 million on a backend deal. Soon after news of this phenomenal acquisition broke out, many game developers around the world attempted to follow after the footsteps of the entrepreneurial trio who created Club Penguin.

Today, dozens of other virtual worlds for kids have since been spawned. With such a buffet spread of kids’ entertainment sites online, how do parents know for sure if their children are exposed to safe and good content? Singapore based award-winning new media and 3d animation studio MediaFreaks has launched a comprehensive review site to address this concern.

Over the past year, MediaFreaks has been hard at work producing their own virtual world for kids – The Travels of Wiglington and Wenks Virtual World, scheduled to launch on Christmas Eve this year.
