Visual Fault Finder Ideal for Network Applications

Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) provides this visual fault finder -a 650nm visible laser source with an output power of 1.8mW. The fault finder is an ideal device for technicians to detect broken fiber cable or problematic bending occurring in fiber optic, telecom and CATV networks. It is particularly effective for fiber identification in ribbon or bundled fiber optic pigtails during installation and where end-to-end identification maybe troublesome or time-consuming.
This visual fault finder, GAO Fiber Optics model GAO08511, detects breaks and micro-bends even through jacketed fibers and locates faults at a distance of up to 5km from the source. It has an FC adapter compatible with SC and ST connectors and no external power supply is required. The handheld visual fault finder works continuously for twenty-five hours on a single charge and has an energy saving auto-off timer. In addition, the high durability, portability and efficient design makes it an invaluable instrument for field use.
