Volleyball in New England - Scramble Tournament

Boston, Massachusetts, USA. (SANEPR.com) October 17, 2006 -- Yankee Volleyball is hosting a scramble volleyball tournament October 29th, 2006 in Lincoln, RI. Scrambles are full day events held to help grow Yankee's memberships and give new volleyball players an opportunity to get a taste of how a tournament is run and what to expect. This year, Yankee will be holding a scramble tournament at Community College of Rhode Island in Lincoln for both men and women. The level of a scramble tournament is equivalent to an intermediate level.

Scrambles work similar to all other tournaments however the difference is that players sign up as an individual and are placed on a team with experienced as well as new players based on their position and skill level. All participants will receive a numbered T-shirt and a full day of play for $20 per person. The tournament will start at 9am and run until 6pm with pool play and playoffs.

“Scramble volleyball tournaments are giving adult players in the New England area an opportunity to get a taste of the volleyball community and are helping Yankee grow our membership base” said Jonah Mytro, President of Yankee Volleyball Organization.
