UK (SANEPR.com) June 26, 2008 -- Wayne Rooney indulged in a four day stag weekend in Ibiza before tying the knot with Coleen McLoughlin last week, it has been reported.

The Rooney Stag Team swigged beer, downed champagne and gulped vodka jellies on Wayne’s last weekend of freedom. The Manchester United footballer, who earns around £115,000 a week budgeted on 10,000 a head and spent around £200,000 on the four day stag weekend binge, telling his buddies to ‘leave the wallets at home’.

The 22 year old paid for the entire stag weekend, shelling out for a villa complete with pool, outdoor bar, games room and even a grand piano for late night ‘singalongs’ and on the second day, Rooney and co. swapped the pool for a 60 foot yacht.

Accompanying Wayne Rooney’s on his stag weekend extravaganza were his brothers, father and father-in-law-to-be, Tony McLoughlin as well as members of the Croxeth clan.

Rooney and co. made the most of their time on the island frequenting super club Amnesia, Eden, Cafe Mambo and drinking Sambucas at Gary Lineker’s brother’s bar, aptly names ‘Linekers’.

The Man United Star was caught smoking and downing Vodka Redbulls at an alarming rate, as well as falling asleep in one of the island’s super clubs.

Whilst Rooney and pals got merry in the Balearic Island’s most notorious party town of San Antonio, many of his team mates, whose national sides qualified for the Euro 2008 Championship, were in training for matches.

The team mates that weren’t involved in matches were invited to the stag weekend, but did not show up, despite invitations. In several reports Rooney was said to be furious that Rio Ferdinand did not attend, despite previously ‘rsvp-ing’. It has been suggested that Sir Alex Fergusson may have told several of the players not to travel to the Spanish Island for Rooney’s stag weekend after their Christmas Party ended in unfounded rape allegations against a player.

Despite the obvious absence of many of the Man United team, Rooney’s stag weekend went off without any bad behaviour or scandal and he and Colleen tied the knot a few days later in the picturesque church of San Michele di Pagano, just a few miles outside Portofino in Italy.
