YG.COM ADDS MAJOR ENHANCEMENTS TO WEB SITE FOR AION GAMERS

LAS VEGAS, NV. [Jan. 25, 2010"> – YG.com, a leading provider of Internet gaming and online community tools, announced today it has added several new improvements to its web site database for the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Aion. The upgrades are designed to enhance the online gaming experience for players of the popular fantasy game.

The additions include an external updater application, non-playing character (NPC) drop information, additional quest information, a “zones” section, tooltip syndication, and both world and detailed maps.

“As we did with Age of Conan, we have created an external application that helps gather additional data for our Aion database,” said Brian Higby, YG.com chief technology officer. “The Aion updater helps gather item drops statistics and NPC location information. It then uploads these to the database and adjusts stats and drop rates in minutes.”

The updater also has a built in “minimize to tray” design so it stays out of the way while a player is in-game. Players can also check the text box for information, stats, and details about any errors that may occur.

The new features include:

• NPC drop information. Gets live updated on the site within a few minutes of an NPC dropping an item to a player running the application.
• Additional quest information. Full quest details for all quests including steps, rewards/reward groups, quest accept text, and quest completion text.
• Detailed maps. Both world and detailed maps show up on zones and NPC pages showing the locations where these objects have been seen.
• Zones. The Zones section shows a list of the places players can go to, and shows what NPCs & gather sources have been seen in these zones. This feature also displays detailed and world maps.
• Tooltip Syndication. Allows users to easily be able to have YG.com’s tool-tips show up on their site.

Aion is one of the most popular online games in the world. The game had a reported 3.5 million subscribers in Asia alone after its launch in March 2009 and had a record 400,000 pre-orders prior to its Western launch in September.
