Young TheAct.tv acting student gains self-confidence, but talent agents take notice

USA (SANEPR.com) September 5, 2008 -- Grace Gillard auditioned for ACT and was accepted in the acting and modeling programs. Her parents were more focused on Grace gaining self confidence and self control than they were on her becoming a working actor or model. They really just wanted her to have fun while while learning some new skills and meeting other creative children. They didn’t realize how much a talented child could learn in a short time at ACT.

When asked what goals they have for their daughter they replied, “We would like to see her succeed in everything she does, of course, but now we really think she may have a chance in this industry.” They are referring to the Entertainment Industry.

Children like Grace that are naturally talented can't help but gain the attention of talent agents and casting directors when they are exposed to them. These children shine and Grece's natural red hair and bubbling personality just heighten her appeal.

The ACT on-camera acting classes that Grace and her peers receive at the program prepare them for auditions and scene work involving a script. The classes are often filmed, which allows parents and students to see progress and improvement through a class and through a session. The filming also teaches students how to "act for the camera", which is essential preparation for most of the work child actors encounter.

Her parents say, "Grace now has goals for herself, instead of just going with the flow.”

When asked by ACT staff what goals they have for their daughter they replied, “We would like to see her succeed in everything she does, of course, but now we really think she may have a chance in this industry.”

Grace has her first audition/interview with a talent agent scheduled and both ACT staff and her parents are hopeful for this very talented youngest.
