The Virginia artist and mother of two will showcase her popular, whimsically hand-illustrated stationery line for the first time at the highly anticipated AmericasMart® Atlanta Gift & Home Furnishings Market®, in January 2009.

Artist and interior designer, Karen Bullard, turned her whimsical illustrations into an array of elegant stationery products to offer a charming selection of announcements, greeting cards, invitations and more to the marketplace. Launched in 2004, karen cole paper has distributed stationery to stores nationwide, as well as online. karen cole paper blends timeless and classic design with modern elements. Bullard achieves this by drawing on her understanding of design and color and then accenting it with fun details. The karen cole paper collection provides an original look for the stylish paper lover who is aware of trends but does not rely on them.

Bullard creates illustrations, in her home studio, using colored pencils as the medium of choice, which brings a memorable artistic touch to the stationery goods consumers use the most. In designing, Karen draws inspiration from her favorite things: Beautiful fabrics, nature and her family. She relies on such style influences as art, vintage textiles, her interior design background and many others. With a feminine flair, Bullard’s designs offer modern and colorful designs for baby showers, weddings, parties, holidays and everyday occasions. After successfully introducing karen cole paper products to retailers, Bullard began to license her artwork in 2007, and aspires to license to manufacturers of home décor, fabric and craft items in the near future.
